This week we have started to explore our own questions about bubbles. We have watched some great YouTube clips about making bubbles.
Can we make different shaped bubbles? How do you make bubble mixture? How can we make bubbles get bigger?
In pairs we explored making bubble with shampoo.
We compared these bubbles to bubbles made from dish washing liquid and glycerol. We found this recipe in one of our science books.
We even tried mixtures using soap and washing machine powder. Gee...we thought of so many questions!
Some people found they could make bigger bubbles when they blew through their hands rather than using the bubble wands.
Penny and Emilie discovered that when your hands are wet you can put your finger through the bubbles and they won't pop.
If you blow too hard the bubbles always pop!
Shampoo made the biggest bubbles.
The glycerol bubbles had the most colours.
We had fun getting bubble mixture everywhere.
Bubbles made out of lux flakes felt really slimey!
Now we have even more questions than when we started!
